God will Provide

The simplest things in life show me more and more that the God I believe in actually exists.

2 weeks ago a clamp for a hose in my car broke and so the hose came disconnected in effect all my coolant was thus emptied out of this hose because it was a coolant hose. Cost me 87 dollars to fix it. That same day I get a cheque from the government for just over 100 bucks. God not only gave me the money to fix the hose, He gave me enough to even buy a pizza (which I did with my wife that night).

Last night I got out of my exam to realize I had left my car lights on and so the battery was drained and didn’t have enough power to turn over the engine when trying to start it. Low and behold though there is a guy standing beside his car which is practically right next to mine and he asks if I need a boost upon hearing the car just stutter a lot. God knew I would need a boost and He put the person in that place at the exact time I came out from my exam to give me the needed boost.

These are just two very recent examples.

Some would look at these things and say that is was due to karma, good timing and/or just plain dumb luck. I look at these things and see God, providing exactly what I need when I need it and in some cases providing even more. The point I am trying to make here is that its all about worldview. I believe in God and thus I see Him in everything, having His hand in everything. Others like I said would attribute it to other forces/things in the world. In the end it all comes down to worldview.

Research Paper

I am currently writing a research paper on the role of tongues in the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement especially when combined with a “baptism of the Holy Spirit” event. If you have any information about something to do with this stuff I would appreciate it so much if you would let me know. I do plan to post my research onto here so you can of course read it for yourselves when it is done (probably about Late April.Early May)

Thank you :)

Something to think about

I came across this on my Facebook and shared it, I did not write this and take no credit for it but it’s definitely a good read and something to keep in mind always.

Me: God, can I ask You a question?

God: Sure

Me: Promise You won’t get mad

God: I promise

Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?

God: What do u mean?

Me: Well, I woke up late

God: Yes

Me: My car took forever to start

God: Okay

Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait

God: Huummm

Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call

God: All right

Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn’t work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?

God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one
of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that

Me (humbled): OH

GOD: I didn’t let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.

Me: (ashamed)

God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn’t want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn’t afford to miss work.

Me (embarrassed):Okay

God: Your phone went dead bcuz the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn’t even let you talk to them so you would be covered.

Me (softly): I see God

God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn’t think you wanted to be in the dark.

Me: I’m Sorry God

God: Don’t be sorry, just learn to Trust Me…. in All things , the Good & the bad.

Me: I will trust You.

God: And don’t doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.

Me: I won’t God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.

God: You’re welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children…

REPOST if you Believe in HIM ♥
Worth posting.

Due to my inactivity lately I firstly want to apologize, secondly I would like to inform you what has happened in my life lately to cause such a long time away.

It started back in April I believe when I spent 15 straight weeks training officers with the Canadian Army. I spent the majority of time with the same group of people and because of my evangelist attitude and out-going nature they all found out pretty quickly that I was a firm believer in Jesus, God and the Bible. Many conversations were had, ranging from the Abortion debate (obviously I am pro-life), the Truth of Scripture, and even why I believe and why they should as well. As it can be assumed the Army is a filled with many people of many different thoughts and most of them didn’t agree with me on much. I held my ground through-out it all and now one of the guys that I met last summer that I also now live near has started “exploring his options” (as he put it) and has started attending Church with me and continues to ask me questions as I help him through this time. Praise God for that.

I also started a Post-Secondary Education at a rather small Christian school in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada known as Redeemer University College which has about 1000 people enrolled at it. I am majoring in Religion and Theology. I absolutely adore my school and couldn’t ask for a better place to study and get a degree.

Since I started school I also got a part-time youth pastor job at a small church of about 100 people, and it has been a huge blessing as well. So to sum that all up I am currently still working part-time with the Canadian army, I am also working part-time as a youth pastor and I am a full-time student (What can I say I like to stay busy).

I am getting married later on this year on August 17th and so, many things in my life have changed and will continue to be changing through out the year. I will try and post more like I used to with different things from all ranges. If you have anything you would like me to research and post about hit up my ask box, or ask me any questions. I am an open book and love to help people through whatever it is they might have questions about.

I Had a wonderful opportunity to see these guys perform live at an event Francis Chan was speaking at. They are definitely a Christian band to keep your eyes and ears on. They were so good and wonderful. Here is what is my favourite song on one of there two CD’s. The lyrics are found below. Pretty cool video as well.

My future hangs on this
You make preciousness from dust
Please don’t
Stop creating me

Your blood offers the chance
To rewind to innocence
Perfect as a child

Oh Your cross it changes everything
There my world begins again with You
Oh Your cross it’s where my hope restarts
A second chance is Heaven’s heart

When sin and ugliness
Collide with redemption’s kiss
Awakens by romance

Always inside this mess
I have found forgiveness
As infinite as You

Countless second chances
We’ve been given at the cross

Fragments of brokenness
Salvaged by the art of grace
You craft
Life from our mistakes

Black skies of my regrets
Outshone by this kindness
New life
Dawns over my soul

Just wanted to re-post this so you can all read it. It was a question I answered a while ago on another blog. Just thought that it may give some people hope in our Lord, Jesus.  Question: “Isn’t it a bit too much to trust in something you cannot prove or see? Something that has only been taught to you through a book? I don’t think all of you religious people understand the true intentions of God. If there is a God, I am almost 100% sure he never meant for you to blindly follow them. He meant for you to be a good person and live a life worth living, a moral life, that does not cause other people harm. I can’t believe you would take the idea of religion and follow it so blindly.” Answer: You cannot see wind. Yet you know it exists because you see how it effects things that we can see (trees, leaves etc). God is like the wind. Although we cannot physically see God (although there are people that have). We do see how things God has done effect/changes the world around us. (this won’t always happen in ways we expect it to or think it should either though). You also cannot see darkness my friend. We know that darkness exists though even though you cannot see it, because we see how darkness effects the world around us and changes things. (again much like God) I could go on but I step back a bit, and pray that you will digest these 2 things that I have talked about and mentioned. (yes I have more examples I could use) The problem I have with living a “moral life” is that everybody’s morals are different. Some people and societies think that murder, rape and incest are morally ok. Does that mean we should allow those things for those people because they feel morally that it’s ok to do those things? I think we could agree no on that one. Continuing on from that, not harming others, some people don’t think that those few things I named (rape, incest, murder etc.) Harm others because if they think it is morally ok to do it then they will probably thusly assume the other party is ok with it as well. I personally do not follow religion blindly. I follow Jesus blindly. Have I seen Jesus, No. I don’t need to see something to know it exists. Jesus (God’s son) came to earth and performed many, many, many miracles that nobody else could (and yes there have been writings found about Jesus from outside of the Bible, written by Roman Historians and other non - Christians). Nobody living today has ever seen George Washington, or Alexander the Great, yet nobody doubts that they existed. So why all the doubts about Jesus and God, there is just as much (if not a whole lot more) written about Jesus as there was the two people I mentioned above.  God bless ANON, I pray you open up your heart and mind and actually look into the evidence (scientific evidence) for God, for Jesus, and for Christianity.  ~Andrew
